About me

I am Chris Pocock, and I have been writing about the aerospace and defence industries for more than 30 years. I am a British citizen living in London.

I was the defense editor for AVIATION INTERNATIONAL NEWS (AIN) until mid-2018. I am very proud of the focused and independent coverage that I helped to provide over many years. You can review my stories at https://www.ainonline.com/chris-pocock

I have a particular interest in airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR). I have been following the U-2 spyplane since the mid-1980s, and you can learn more about this fascinating and continuing story at my special website devoted to that subject at www.dragonladytoday.com

I was a Visiting Fellow at the Brunel Centre for Intelligence and Security Studies (BCISS) in the UK from 2014-16. I remain interested in the wider aspects of intelligence  processing, exploitation, dissemination and analysis.
